The purchase of food can be a large portion of your budget. We try very hard to eat at
our home in the effort to save money. Food can be very expensive and not very satisfying
when purchased in the parks. At some parks it's very expensive and extremely good.
Breakfast is the easiest way to cut the budget. Purchase milk, cereal and juice boxes.
There is usually at least a coffee maker in the kitchen, so you can also make tea, coffee,
hot chocolate and oatmeal very easy.
We always try to plan our day, so that we have at least lunch or dinner at the home. Due
to the kids, we try to have dinner at the home. After a long day, just thinking about
spending time in a restaurant with little ones is exhausting. It is a lot easier to prepare (or
purchase a prepared meal) place it in the oven and set the timer for when you plan on
returning.
You might think this is funny, but Sam's and Costco, both have pizza, salads, hot dogs
and other fare, really cheap. There is a Sam's Club on Hwy 192 in Kissimmee.
